Breathe in slowly. When you feel yourself becoming aware of your own breathing, take a big breath in as well, hold it in for a few seconds.

With this, slowly exhale, and stay relaxed in a state of stillness. This is an exercise that will help you cultivate calmness and inner peace.

The Sceond Step

The second step of Aspirant Meditation is Meditation itself. Meditation itself is an exercise of concentration. It helps in gaining a sense of inner tranquillity and calmness. Meditation can also help you reduce your stress.

Meditation takes place on an inner level, so you have to be very aware of what you are doing. If you are practising Aspirant Meditation alone, you should try to relax your self as much as possible before beginning.

It is important to understand that mental block is one of the biggest hindrances to meditation. If you have a mental block, you will not be able to attain the state of inner tranquillity.
